Another late night composition. I will probably revisit it at a later date for revising and extending.
Another day gone, another year past
Since the time you loved me last
With Spring's hope, flowers awake
Summer's sun reflects in the shine lake
The ripe harvest moon glows strongly with Fall
Then Winter's bleak returns, destroying it all
As morning creeps through my window
I am forced once again to let you go
While awake, such dreams I cannot keep
They can only keep me busy as I sleep
I have a new goal. I want to always keep paper and a pen on me. Words pour in to my mind, often at inconvenient times. If I can't expel them immediately into some kind of record they run away from my grasp. It is better not to risk it. I would rather write a composition that I end up disliking, than risk losing something worth reading. Most of it is bollocks, but occasionally it is enjoyable to take in.
