Cookie Crumbs and Smelly Shoes; An Overture

I have heard that writing is a good way to clear ones mind and organize ones thoughts. Though if it is done in that order, no thoughts would remain to be organized after the initial clearing effect occurs. This is not an attempt to gain influence, followers or recognition. Rather an opportunity for me to share part of myself openly and honestly.

Perhaps some people will be interested in what I post, feel a connection through my words and pictures, find my blog a happy surprise in their day (like when you are sure you are out of gum but find one last piece in the bottom of your bag [hopefully not covered in the crumbs from the cookies you forgot in there two weeks ago] and it happens to be your favorite flavor). Then again this blog could be more like the smelly shoes that you want to throw out, but you are not ready to break in a new pair. If the latter is the case I beg you to just throw out the shoes! Nobody likes smelly shoes and the it is not fair to the shoes that you continue to undervalue them because they offend your delicate nostrils.
I have had several friends tell me that I am an acquired taste, and if you are not able to acquire it then this blog is mostly likely a waste of time that you could spend knitting a scarf, folding laundry, or learning to spin plates on sticks. I would hate to distract you from such worthy endeavors. Especially the plate one.
So, if at any time you decide to stop reading my blog, I will not be offended. To be honest, I probably won't even know. But I will not tolerate haters. If I post something asking for feedback I genuinely want constructive criticism (which I may or may not agree with, but I always like to hear). However, I want to keep it positive here. So if you want to comment feel free to. Just be respectful, yo. No one is going to concur with everything I say, and that is absolutely wonderful because I love seeing different points of view. So feel free to share, just remember to care ( can you say corny? [because if you can't you probably have a serious speech problem and I apologize for bringing it up]).
As the last bit of business, I'm sure you are wondering about the title I have chosen. I actually have a yellow piggy bank who I named Europe. It was one of the only present I received on my nineteenth birthday as a way to help save money for a trip to Europe (which I have been planning on for years with my best friend Emily, whom you will undoubtedly hear more about in the future). This piggy bank is sometimes emptied for unexpected circumstances, and is actually a terrible way to set aside funds since I often forget to feed him (yes, Europe is male). He represents more than just my trip though. He is the dreams, desires and plans that motivate my actions and inspire my life.

P.S. Since I have insomnia I am willing to bet most of these will be written late at night, thereby limiting my skills of spelling and punctuation. I will take no offense to persons pointing out such errors. In fact, I thank you in advance.
