On The Subject of Release

My darling Kelly,
On the subject of release, a wise song says "We can't always get what we want. But if we try sometimes, we just might find, we can get what we need." I find this to be especially true when it comes to the release of our inner desires, emotions, thoughts and ambitions.
Every person in the world is filled with these and every person expresses them in different ways. Dance, drawing, music, writing, and even working on cars are various ways to express what is inside you. They are constructive ways of release. Some people choose less constructive outlets such as drinking, drugs, and unmarried sex to relax, let loose and release their passions. Where the first examples can bring happiness and satisfaction both to the individual and those around him, the second set of examples will bring only momentary gratification followed by sadness and a deeper feeling of being repressed. It is important to find healthy outlets and a good balance. Even a healthy outlet like writing can become a hindrance.
For example, if you are hurt and angry about a situation with a good friend of yours or a co-worker, you may want to write an email to them detailing your point of view and feelings. You will write it all out and release the emotions and explain why you are hurt, how the situation could have been different, and how freaking mad you are at them! This is good. Then you will want to hit the send button. This is bad. Words written in haste are often regretted and are much harder to forget. Write the deep passionate feelings of your soul, but do not share them when you are upset. I wished I had learned earlier the value of waiting until the next day to proofread letters i had written in the heat of the moment. Often you will find errors in judgement as well as errors in spelling. Delete the message that will most likely only create more bitter feelings. Or save it and read it when you are completely calm. If you still feel it is justified then send it, but I have found 95 percent of the time this is not the case.
Hobbies can help to occupy our time and bring our minds into clarity. It is ok to have lots of hobbies and to switch between different way of releasing what is inside us. Try new things. Have fun. Just be sure that each new experiment brings lasting happiness and not just instant gratification.
Might I recommend learning to make balloon animals.
